In 2020, the world was plunged into a health crisis with the Covid-19 pandemic. Health workers found themselves in the dangerous and difficult situation of having to care for the worst affected people with the virus. Artists in this country and later around the world started to paint portraits of our key workers - mostly NHS staff for free as a thank you for their hard work and bravery, under an initiative setup by Tom Croft entitled #portraitsfornhsheroes. I am both delighted and honoured to be one of those artists.
