Work in Progress
Here you can see the process behind some of the work I am doing. A lot of the paintings that I do are done at small painting groups, where a number of like minded people get together to paint in a social atmosphere, and something I find very rewarding. My print works are usually done at home in my tiny studio!
This painting was inspired by a recent visit to Basildon Park. I've shown two ladies admiring the portrait of Lady Iliffe which stands in the house at the foot of the main staircase. Using a low key palette, and the addition of a shadowy background figure, I'm hoping to give this work a sense of intrigue.
